Many academic journals have emerged to address issues of theology, Christian education, ethics, interfaith relations, and digital transformation. However, the need remains for a structured overview that maps these publications to better understand the direction of Indonesian theological discourse between 2020 and 2025.

Purpose: This study aims to compile and analyze a comprehensive bibliography of Indonesian theological and socio-religious journals published from 2020 to 2025. The goal is to identify key trends, thematic focuses, and interdisciplinary connections within theological research and practice.

Methods: The study employs a bibliographic and qualitative content analysis approach. Scholarly articles from five major journals—Journal of Religious and Socio-Cultural, SERVIRE, QUAERENS, Indonesian Journal of Religious, and MODERATE—were systematically reviewed, classified, and interpreted based on their theological, educational, and social relevance.

Result: Findings reveal an increasing integration between theology and contemporary social realities. The data indicate a growing interest in contextual theology, digital ministry, Christian ethics, and the application of biblical studies to societal transformation, reflecting a shift toward practical and interdisciplinary engagement.

Contribution: This bibliography contributes to the mapping of Indonesian theological and religious scholarship and serves as a valuable reference for academics, educators, and practitioners. It helps identify research gaps, encourages collaboration among institutions, and promotes the growth of contextual theology in both Indonesian and global academic settings.
Christian Ade Maranatha Copyright (c) 2026 Christian Ade Maranatha https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://indonesiastt.ac.id/journal/index.php/chevra/article/view/104 Wed, 18 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 God is the Creator of the Earth, But Man is the Keeper https://indonesiastt.ac.id/journal/index.php/chevra/article/view/105
Background: This section explains the context and rationale behind the study. The author highlights the importance of including children’s perspectives in discussions about education and religion in Indonesia, as they form the foundation for a moral and sustainable society. Academic discourse has long relied on adult viewpoints, neglecting the voices of children. Therefore, the study emphasizes that children, too, bear a spiritual and moral responsibility to care for God’s creation — the earth.

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to examine the practice of education and religion in Indonesia through the experiences of children at the Jungle School in Salatiga, focusing on the preservation of nature and the environment. The author seeks to demonstrate that children’s experiences can meaningfully contribute to the development of environmental theology and a better understanding of humanity’s collective duty toward the planet.

Methods: The research uses a qualitative narrative inquiry approach, where the stories and lived experiences of children are collected and interpreted as the main source of data. The author — who is also the founder and director of the Jungle School — employs narrative inquiry to uncover meaning from children’s daily interactions with education, faith, and nature. This method values experience-based storytelling as a way to understand life and theology through real, lived narratives.

Results: The findings show that the children’s experiences at the Jungle School offer a unique perspective on the intersection between faith, education, and environmental responsibility. Learning directly within nature, the children display awareness of their role as keepers of the earth. This nature-based education fosters spiritual growth, moral responsibility, and a theological appreciation of creation — elements often neglected in formal religious education systems.

Contribution: The article contributes a new perspective to environmental theology and religious education by emphasizing the inclusion of children’s voices and experiences. It invites educators, theologians, and researchers to integrate child-centered perspectives into their work and to cultivate ecological awareness rooted in creation theology. Ultimately, it calls for collective efforts to build a better and more sustainable future for humanity and the earth.
Elia Tambunan Copyright (c) 2026 Elia Tambunan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://indonesiastt.ac.id/journal/index.php/chevra/article/view/105 Wed, 18 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Membangun Jemaat yang Transformatif melalui Manajemen Insani dan Kepemimpinan Beretika https://indonesiastt.ac.id/journal/index.php/chevra/article/view/114
Background: The success of building a transformative congregation depends on the effectiveness of human-centered management and ethical leadership. Many churches still struggle to apply these principles optimally, particularly in fostering healthy leader-member relationships and creating an environment that nurtures faith growth and spiritual well-being.

Purpose: This study aims to examine the relationship between human-centered management, ethical leadership, and congregational engagement in Indonesian church contexts.

Methods: A quantitative approach with a correlational survey design was employed. Data were collected from 300 respondents across several congregations of the Anugerah Bible Church in North Sulawesi. Statistical analyses included Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression to assess the influence of human-centered management and ethical leadership on congregational engagement.

Results: The findings revealed a strong positive correlation between human-centered management and congregational satisfaction (r = 0.72, p < 0.05), as well as between ethical leadership and congregational engagement (r = 0.76, p < 0.05). Key contributing factors included leadership transparency, empathy, and inclusive church policies.

Contribution: This study confirms that the integration of human-centered management and ethical leadership fosters participatory and harmonious church communities. The research provides practical implications for church leaders to adopt inclusive, value-based leadership models that promote sustainable transformation in local congregations.

Latar Belakang: Keberhasilan dalam membangun jemaat yang transformatif bergantung pada efektivitas manajemen insani dan kepemimpinan beretika. This transition highlights the role of Deobandi religious education in shaping Afghan society and governance.

Purpose: This paper examines the role of Deobandi religious education in the new Taliban regime and its potential impact on Afghanistan’s future, particularly in terms of multiculturalism, economic development, and human rights.

Methods: A qualitative analysis is conducted through a historical review of the Deobandi movement, coupled with a comparison to Indonesia’s multicultural education system. The study evaluates the application of these teachings in the context of contemporary Afghanistan under Taliban rule.

Result: The findings suggest that while the Deobandi tradition emphasizes conservative religious principles, it also holds the potential for fostering greater tolerance and economic development if adapted to modern needs. However, the Taliban’s current approach often conflicts with broader ideals of pluralism and gender equality.

Contribution: This study provides insights into how Deobandi teachings might evolve in a modern context, contributing to debates on the reform of religious education in Afghanistan. It also offers policy recommendations based on Indonesia's experience with integrating religious and cultural diversity into national education systems.
Yusak Tanasyah Copyright (c) 2026 Yusak Tanasyah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://indonesiastt.ac.id/journal/index.php/chevra/article/view/115 Wed, 18 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Ecology and Christian Teenagers for Environmental Protection https://indonesiastt.ac.id/journal/index.php/chevra/article/view/116
Background: Ecology plays a crucial role in fostering awareness about the interconnectedness of life and the environment, but the misunderstanding of human-environment relations often leads to ecological imbalance.

Purpose: This study aims to explore how Christian teenagers understand the intersection of ecology and biblical teachings in environmental protection.

Methods: A qualitative approach is employed, combining ecological and biblical perspectives to analyze teenagers' understanding of their responsibility in sustaining environmental balance.

Result: The study finds that adolescents demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental protection, especially when guided by biblical principles, yet face challenges from societal practices that encourage environmental degradation.

Contribution: This research emphasizes the need for continued integration of Christian teachings into environmental education to foster a generation of responsible environmental stewards.
Marudut Bernadtua Simanjuntak, Sutrisno Sutrisno Copyright (c) 2026 Marudut Bernadtua Simanjuntak, Sutrisno Sutrisno https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://indonesiastt.ac.id/journal/index.php/chevra/article/view/116 Wed, 18 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000
