The program was implemented over a 13-week period from August to October 2022 involving 23 families experiencing mobility limitations that prevented them from regularly attending in-person worship services. The implementation methods included participant identification, assistance in the use of digital media, weekly worship services and pastoral mentoring through Zoom, pastoral visitation, and the provision of food assistance and multivitamins on a monthly basis. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and attendance monitoring throughout the program. The findings demonstrated that the hybrid ministry model significantly increased participant engagement, beginning with only seven participants and eventually reaching an average weekly attendance of seventeen participants. In addition, the program strengthened pastoral communication among congregants, families, and the church, while also establishing continuity of pastoral care for participants with long-term physical limitations. This initiative produced an adaptive and contextual hybrid pastoral ministry model for church ministry in the digital era.

Gidion Gidion Copyright (c) 2026 Gidion Gidion https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2025-05-31 2025-05-31 2 1 1 22 10.46362/ijs.v2i1.149
